MEET ANNE MARIE

I once met a man named “Walkingstick” who told me that in the Native American culture, the word medicine meant “way of life” and that when we are doing what we came here to do we were creating “good medicine”.

As an artist and as an interior redesigner, I believe that I thrive when I create, whether it is a new canvas, or a new interior for a client. I consider it a privilege and an honor to be asked to help create beauty in your home and I pride myself on approaching that task with great respect and intention.

I HAVE ALWAYS LOVED CREATING BEAUTIFUL SPACES! At age 8, I built my first tree house and made my brothers help me decorate it with furniture made from scrap lumber! Since that time, I have occupied many spaces and still thrill at creating a lovely space from the items I already own. I have a huge passion for helping others do the same. For me, redesign is the act of allowing something to evolve that is not there in the beginning. Along with my client, we imagine those possibilities and bring them to fruition. I am a Certified Interior Redesigner and certified One Day Staging and Decorating Professional. I have a passion for my work and believe that passion is reflected in the end product. I BELIEVE THAT WE CHOOSE THE THINGS DEAR TO US... And that those treasures, when displayed well, represent a home and its owners beautifully. My job is to make those treasures shine. Whether a house suffers from chronic fatigue or truly needs intensive care, I believe any home can be made a lovely space. My goal is to diagnose issues that prevent a home from feeling good to its owner and then offering a remedy in a quick, affordable approach.
ON A PERSONAL NOTE I was a counselor for many years and learned to listen to the heart’s desires of my clients. That skill is used every time I listen to someone describe their dream home. I sustain myself with the love of a wonderful family, friends, career, and dog named Moon. We think it is a good life. PROFESSIONALLY I have a B.A. in art and education, an M. Ed in counseling, as well as my current memberships and certifications as a One Day Decorating professional (ODDAA) and Society of Decorating Professionals (SDP).
